Are you a water damage company?
No. We are a referral service. When you call, you are connected with an independent local company. We do not do any cleanup, repairs or inspections ourselves.
Can I call at night or on weekends?
You can call any time. Our referral line answers 24/7. Whether a company can come out right away depends on the company and demand at that moment.
What should I do first?
Stop the water if you safely can (shut the main valve), turn off electricity to wet areas if it is safe, take photos, and call your insurance company. See our emergency checklist.
Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?
Often for sudden and accidental damage like a burst pipe, but usually not for gradual leaks or flooding from outside. Flood damage generally needs a separate flood policy. Check your policy and ask your insurer.
How fast can mold grow after water damage?
Mold can begin to grow within 24 to 48 hours on wet materials, according to the U.S. EPA. Drying quickly helps prevent it.
Do I have to hire the company I'm connected with?
No. You are never obligated. You can get more than one estimate, and your insurer cannot require you to use a specific company.
